15% of non-production would be >>8000 employees, based on my estimates, not counting any changes due to spin-off. This seems highly unrealistic. Sources, details?
15% reduction in non-plant? Hadn't heard that yet.....
Late March will be a bloodbath. At least 15% reduction in non-plant workforce.
Need more aggressive cuts at corporate, outside USA labs and other nonproductive orgs.
Soon. I heard that will be start additional lay off in Apr.
Roman will announce the big “reimagine” of “remainco” either as a preview to 1q earnings disappointment or at the 1q earnings call (which will also be a disappointment). That will be the 10-15% “reset”.
Got four maintenance men at the Decatur film plant yesterday
The layoffs are never-ending. There really is no beginning and end. It’s part of the M&M playbook in good times and bad. Probably 8 -10K in announced cuts since 2019. Can’t figure out a structure or how to grow, so cut the way to prosperity.
How is tireman going to have time to lay more people off when he's busy making podcasts for Kearny?
The leadership have lost their way
That was my takeaway also. Hopefully mostly done by Q4 but gosh that’s a long time for the cloud to hover.
If we’re smart we update our resumes now.
Didn't Wee Pete the Tireman this morning basically say that all of us except him are potentially on the chopping block in the next 6-9 months?
Soon.
