I was part of the restructuring layoff in 2019. Over 4K laid off and they targeted most over 50 years old in the US. Note: There is life after 50, Employers like Experience! Anyone who is part of this recent layoff should relax and think about what you want to do next. Reminder to always save 6 months of salary for these rainy days.
It’s OK to take a break before you jump back in. It’s stressful but you will survive. Good luck!

Might as well have used RPA to notify N. AMERICA casualties. Pathetic
I can't help but think the vast differences between employment law between the EU and United States played a big role in some of the reports about how things have been handled in North America. Not a chance any sh1t like that wouod fly in Europe. Works council would be all over them like a rash.
I would have hoped SAP treated all the same and didn't just work to the possibilities of the local law. Just because you can does not mean that you should. Hopefully there's a big blow back from the approach and that for any future layoffs, more thought and dignity goes into the process.
I don’t know how much training they needed. It was a script they read with HR. To tell the severance details after. Was very disrespectful to be scripted no personal touch at all.
Manager we’re on training to tell the news .
