Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

The State of Work in America

Look no further than this board for an example of the state of work and working relations between employers and employees in this country. It is no surprise that over 51 million Americans quit their jobs last year and many more are set to this year.

Employment is a one way street anymore. There is little respect, little appreciation, little focus on ee engagement, retention, or establishing effective working relationships.

The most offensive question anyone, including prospective employers, can ask me is "Why did you leave Wells Fargo?" It takes my temperature to 212 in less than a second, because WE ALL sign offer letters with at will employment language that says they can terminate our employment for any reason, without cause, at any time, but wait, we're suppose to fu----g answer why we left there! FU-K YOU! The reality is, any of these places would chop your head and lay you off in a NANOSECOND without hesitation, so it's disgusting when someone thinks I or you owe them some explanation why you left a certain company or job! I don't owe Wells, or anyone SHITT! I did my job, I got paid and I got the F out! The end. Many of these corporate drone, a-hole recruiters and hiring managers think they are owed something, some explanation, they're not owed SHITT! Hang up the phone, click. There's literally any empathy, understanding or tolerance in corporate America anymore, the American worker is despised by these companies. The only thing you owe an employer is to do your job while you're on the payroll, and that's it.

And most decisions are based on egos and not common sense. RTO is just one mere example.

WF management only needs the brightest workers

"H-1B is a temporary (nonimmigrant) visa category that allows employers to petition for highly educated foreign professionals to work in “specialty occupations” that require at least a bachelor's degree or the equivalent."
