Thread regarding Capital One layoffs

More Layoffs

Huge layoff in Navigator Platform as they continue to replace us with offshore. Capital One contines to exploit cheap labor while benefiting from Americam Consumers and being bailed out with Americam Tax dollars.

Since SEC was mentioned a few times, here's where you should report if you have any tips (not rumors):

Nothing good will come put of this. Watch. Capital One has too many skeletons in their closet and sooner than they expect someone is going to the feds and it'll all be coming down for them.

The issue with offshoring to foreign companies owned by Capital One staff sounds like there are financial crimes, i.e., embezzlement and money laundering. The Securities and Exchange Commission should be involved as the financial reporting will show operating costs as being lowered due to offshore staff but that money is dirty. FBI should be involved as it sounds like it's an organized crime and corruption ring.

well, not everyone. two teams were safe, for now. but i’m sure it’s in the works how to get offshore vendors for those two positions.
to those that have to continue working these next 90 days - push through and get that $.

Someone asks “ How many were laid off and who was affected?” and I would estimate a few hundred people all the way from Plano call center agents to Auto Nav upper management (so the managers manager).

after a senior director bringing up layoffs last week out of the blue, this was expected. but it’s still a huge punch to the gut. knocked the air out of me, especially after training the offshore agents.

so much for changing banking for good huh?

I was one of the agents laid off. Spent weeks earlier last year training the offshore agents to do bare minimum required to do their job and for it to be turned on us and for them to replace us. Capital One gave some 90 day notices until termination and others got terminated immediately in a 15 minute prerecorded meeting. This comes weeks after Rich Fairbank sent his own prerecorded thank you message to us thanking us for the hard work. Most received raises less than 10 days ago. Most agents are at lost for words because loyalty is expected but not given in this case.

This is true, the Indians who are pushing for offshoring have companies in India or have stakes in those companies and take cuts, they are milking both ways, C1 is going big on Indian talent they moved the joker from Auto finance to Card tech and he started laying off people, so that the can get contractors and get cuts, they are very corrupt.

Thats despicable behavior if true. If we are doing more layoffs why not start with the literal armies of 1099/contractor mercenaries.

Wow. The auto lending industry has tanked and they're offshoring. There is no loyalty so don't work hard blindly because management doesn't care about you, only them, and how they can save the company benjamins.

They'll probably bring back the agile delivery leads as offshore staff. LOL.

This is sad , but true.
Btw, some of your senior leadership of Indian origin actually facilitate that offshoring and often have small companies that provide the offshoring talent.
So, they are screwing American workers, consumers and tax payers at the same time.
