Well I’m so glad cutting the entire Tampa Mortgage OPS center has helped fund this nonsense. Over 50 families lives will now be impacted when jobs in our industry are scarce. Such a garbage bank. Silver lining is I am free from this place run by a bunch of clowns.
So it has now become common knowledge in the industry that the BOD was in on the fleecing of Kelly and dismantling of BBT. The disruption of lives, ruining one good regional bank and the disruption of a number of communities in the name of a now large regional bank that is a shell of the it’s former counterpart run by the bank that was bought in the process. Executive management and the BOD have been the only winners as stock holders have continued to watch their value circle the drain.
Nido, the BOD, Rogers, Beau, etc. all playing on Kelly King’s stunning lack of intellect. I don’t think Truist will give HPU an endowment to support the Kelly King Leadership Institute, but I do believe it is only a matter of time until they gift the campus to HPU (my understanding is the Institute costs Truist about $1million / year). It is kind of funny that the only person in the world that doesn’t realize how embarrassingly bad Kelly King was duped - is Kelly King, who is still prancing around like he is a captain of industry.

Yes Bill, Beau and the BOD are still LAO at the cornpone preacher and his legacy. Eventually they will give that whole boondoggle to Nido and HPU with an endowment to sustain it while telling the masses what an integral part of the community it has been and will be.
With great people gone, customer service in the tank, and myriad operational disasters, it is the height of irony that the one intact surviving piece of legacy BB&T is the Kelly King Leadership Institute. Don’t tell me the universe doesn’t have a sense of humor!

SunTrust management laughs at Kelly King, so there is no way they have any desire to honor him or his legacy by doing this (and also continuing to fund its $1 million+ yearly loss). There has got to be something more to it.
