Severance package and official last date?

To those who were laid off today, what does your severance package look like?

And when is your official last date? (for payroll and returning equipment etc.).

Seems to be an age thing this round. Noticed that those I spoke to were the oldest in their area as well as highest paid. So it seems that are eliminating both a greater age cost resource while seeking to replace with a 2-3 T1 hires. Though they will never capture the experience they loose.

My last work day is September 4 (Labor day weekend) and I have until October 1 to find a new position within SAP. Severance is 2 weeks of salary per year of service and COBRA payments for 6 months.

When I was laid off a few years back; as part of the severance package, I was given a month to find another internal position. But the offer was kind of pointless because most departments don't have the budget for another headcount. Even if there was a position, it would take more than 1 month to complete the hiring process before the deadline. In the meantime, they took away all my access except for the internal job postings. It was a very stressful time. Just wondering if this is the case for the current impacted employees. Good luck to you all!

Review the details and negotiate, negotiate, negotiate ....

Hint: Check the total potential earning amount from your last performance review and use that as the base of your calculations to determine your severance amount.

Wish you all the best and good luck!!

Officially employed until 4/19 then x weeks severance (minimum 12 or 3 weeks/yr) plus full stock RSU vesting.

Theres a section in your oneint sap called leaving SAP and there are Country specific handbooks with already written conditions for when they sack you. They should technically be respecting this but man a labor day sacking, what a joke!
