Thread regarding Capital One layoffs

How are laid off ADLs holding off

It has been 25 days since we got laid off, how are you holding up, I am still struggling and not able to come to terms with it. This is a challenging situation and I trust and believe that everyone will come out as a winner on the other side of canyon except the people who did this to us. You all are among the best and to loose so many talented resources at one go is not good for any company.

Absolutely get unemployment benefits that the company owes you for.

Anyone on redeployment never submit a resignation letter if you can't find anything internally. You are entitled to get unemployment benefits starting on the day after your emoloyment ends. Capital One pays for it. If you submit a resignation letter showing you quit, your unemployment claim will be denied.

For states you're in look online for EDD - employment development department and you can file online without hassle. It's 6 months worth of money and if the economy gets worse you might get an unemployment extension.
