Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Your backgrounds are ugly and they are not ergonomically designed

If they are going to force their ugly eye hurting backgrounds on us at least they could put some development in them that makes them look good. I don’t know who gets paid to make them but they need some ergonomic training and some design training.

“ Why is a site about layoff information full of childish, unrelated rants?”
Because fiserv leadership is incompetent. They took a good company and turned it into a POS.

If you feel the need to push your wallpaper on us at least give us choice and some eye candy. I guess it could be worse and one could be forced to look at a pic of Frank all day long.

just copy your preferred background pic to c:users/public/public pictures and call it FiservWallpaper.jpg and delete any other pics in that location. However, they will force their own back to that folder so every time you reboot your machine, their garbage pic will come back. How SAD is it that this company is forcing you to take THEIR pic? Sounds like what the friggin' government does nowadays!!

Well locking backgrounds fits into the plan to squeeze every ounce of joy out of the workers.
Why do this?

“ My desktop is always occupied fully by applications. Never noticed background pics. Hmmm...”

It Must be nice not having to launch, close and restart applications and network drives and not saving items to the desktop all day long.

Lol "operational excellence"... just like that threatening email they sent out recently that said "we'll forcefully remove a random version of Visual Studio from your machine but we won't tell you which version triggered it. and don't try to IM me either through Teams"

Put all your desktop icons in a folder, use it as you home base for all your "desktop" things, then open up your favourite desktop photo in Windows Photo Viewer and enlarge to fill your screen. Open up this photo for each screen full screen size. Now open your programs and have them on top of your "background" photo. Easy.

Imagine a company that spends all of its IT resource time locking down desktop backgrounds instead of improving network infrastructure, capabilities, and streamlined access. Yes, FirstDataFiserv is such a company. We don’t have access to what we need, but our desktop background is locked down. Good job, IT!

Agree. Now this damn company has locked down changing that hideous background to something more eye pleasing. I don't need their propaganda shoved down my throat everyday
