Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Excellent evaluation, no raise given

I accepted a new job promotion in august 2022 with a raise given at that time.

Received an EXCELLENT on annual evaluation for 2022.

March 2023, rolls around for the annual raises. Was told I was not eligible for annual raise because I was given a raise in august 2022 even after getting an EXCELLENT evaluation. After questioning, was told that is how Humana does it!

Looking for another job…..

Has anyone else ran into similar situation?

This just happened to me, I have been with Humana for 5 years and got promoted in Jan 2025, offered and accepted the job in Nov 2024, new boss just told me I don’t get annual raise cuz I just got a raise when promoted and I wasn’t in her downline for comp planning for 2025, told me it was up to previous boss to give me annual raise.

1qwm+1lXTU3tn- at Humana. I’ve received a raise 4 times when I had been in my role less than a year. Power hungry mid level managers do what they want to do.

I transferred to a new role in the 3rd quarter of 2021 and received a 2% increase in salary (both senior exempt roles). In 2022, was rated full and received a 3% raise. This year rated full and got peanuts. People making up the rules as they go.

Yes, I transferred into a new role and got a raise. Unfortunately I was not eligible for a yearly raise until the following year.

The new job may have been a raise for you, but for Humana, it may have just been the salary for that role….and not everyone got raises even if they were exceptional rated, and the amount varied between teams and roles based on budgets….but, the exceptional rating helped with the AIP

Yeah, it's pretty common at most companies that you are not eligible for a raise until you have been in your role for a year.

This happened to me once, years ago, when they were transitioning to the annual raises at a certain time
