I worked there for 40 years.the most poorly managed toxic workplace anyone could possibly imagine,stayed for the retirement,rank and file employees are nothing to these people,I’ve seen many fired for no reason other than getting injured,a track man was ki-led in a landslide where I worked and the company sent henchmen to his funeral asking people about his work habits
Sounds like it's time for everyone to contact their representatives and become whislteblowers on which bosses or soc or moc that orders you to run defective equipment
