I can’t wait to tell them to sh0ve their job. I will throw a party when this clownshow declares bankruptcy. It’s incredible that they think this new model will not be disastrous. Don’t worry, I’ll let everyone know why problems arise. If they think I’m claiming responsibility for the problems caused by their incompetence, I most certainly will not.

@lku+1lSynmul: You have a newbie too? The most annoying part of doing their jobs, we don't have access to their reports so when she asks me why xyz wasn't done I tell her, I'm a team lead, I don't have access to manager reports. Why do I still have to call you for a refund? duh!!
Had a new manager tell me they didn't need to know all this stuff because she has people to do it that already know what to do.
She just needs to manager people (which she is REALLY GOOD AT DOING)!
Ha Ha. In for a rude awakening!
JRC - how far out on a limb are you with your Follett acquisition? Look out!
We have a newbie SM that hates to be wrong yet she is never right because she hasn't done the training. She is relying on someone who won't be here in a month and instead of locking herself in her office to learn sh-t, she is taking personal time for family outings and vacation. I get taking your PTO but come on lady! You are losing 3 employees in 33 days. They can't hold your hand forever! Get a move on!
Don't forget - low paid newbies that have all the answers.
One newbie I worked with came from a Movie Theater background (18 months). They told me that if they weren't a Regional Manager in six months they'd move on to some place where their talents were appreciated.
It's sad but there are plenty of replacement that will work for low pay and figure you just were not a smart as them. That's what JRC is counting on.
I’m thinking someone got passed over for a promotion at some point and has had, “all of the answers”, since.
I’m starting to see why you weren’t chosen.
But this "new" model has worked so well for Circuit City, Radio Shack, KMart and Sears. Letting go of all your knowledgeable employees and replacing them with low paid newbies is tried and true in retail.
