So much confusion from management! We joined our district call and told applications for new positions are due by end of week.
If we don’t apply - are we still eligible to get severance package?
If we do apply and get a cr-p position, would we still be eligible for severance?
Can MDLZ choose to keep us, under same role?
Wasn't trying to be a jerk, if you haven't been severanced then you can't expect to know what we are talking about. Severanced individuals are given a couple options:
The fact you are asking means you weren't laid off

Yes you have to re apply.
Now if you don't get the job. You still get the severance but if you get the job than decide you don't want it than you will lose severance pay
Apply for what?
If you apply, and get an offer you don't get severanced. You will get an offer though because they don't want to pay to severance you. Even if you don't take the position you still lose the severance.
