Hope I’m laid off. Will take some time and then start new role. If you’re any good in tech then you’ll have no problem landing a new role unless you’re lazy about cultivating a network. In that case, you may have major issues.
Accenture "aid" is very, very expensive and can't garantee any particular benefit to the overall picture. The smart idea of our top management was to rationalize the processes and then let AI and automation do the rest (accenture was supposed to be just a stepping stone that in the end would have to just handle the IT). But AIG is a mess, processes often Aren't clear at all, complicated to understand also for normal humans let alone for programmers that are supposed to code them (pun intended).
Moreover, Aig and Accenture have opposite goals, the more AIG spends the more Accenture earns, how the he-l can they be aligned???? Sure, you read that chatGPT is capable of writing articles and generate great ideas but it's all bullsh-t, it's just a fast Copy/past of stuff taken from the internet with no control on the final output, it's still a long time to reach Terminator scenario.
So, at some point things will stop working. Look at Twitter, if you fire thousands of people from a Company that underperform blaming them for the results instead that the management, reality will come back to kick you where it hurts
Better model would be layoff everybody including management and have Accenture run everything.
Accenture number will be around 30k not 19K that is what being said
So, 30 AIG employees in all of IS/ISO globally? Wow.
JR wants to get to under 30 direct in IT. All others will be outsourced to Accenture.
Who’s left? Most of IT has already been outsourced to Accenture.
Didn’t Accenture just announce 19000 employee layoff??
