I hear that it is not at all rare that someone is promoted without a raise. This is definitely a big red flag for everyone to leave as soon as possible because this company is in nose dive state.

earthquake1994 Clue??
My guess would be a store that’s in a high cost of living state or that brings in a substantial amount of money. If it’s the former, I’d think it’s like making 70k in another state. IDK
I’ve probably said enough already.
Can anyone subtly share where this Director was? A store?
Hmmmm.
As someone that has worked with one of these directors, I can confirm that at least one is/was. I don’t know about more than a regional manager though.
If true, not much of an incentive to take a promotion WITHOUT a substantial pay increase.
Unless they think you are a mo--n and they can F you over with impunity.

Whatever, you have some store directors or whatever they’re called now making more than regional managers and surpassing six figures that just sit in their office all day or “have meetings” and leave campus.
Six figures? Find that hard to believe.

So it's NOT a promotion it's a title change/lateral move.
Of course they could think you're just stupid and they want to take on additional responsibilities without compensation.
The correct response would be, No Thank You!
