Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

VZW losing money?

For the last 5+ years VZW has stopped ordering vehicles for their positions that use company vehicles. For a company that boost about network reliability and coverage maps, it is a necessity for reliable field vehicles to be provided for field use to maintain the network. If you look at current VZW vehicles you will see vehicles that are 11+ years old still in service because the company refuses to/can't replace the current unsafe vehicles that are being used. Where is the money going? Where are the priorities? There is no vehicle shortage because dealer lots are full of fleet vehicles waiting to be be bought. If you can't afford a basic necessity for your business, what does that mean? I hope nobody gets hurt riding in those unsafe vehicles for VZW.

Why are they unsafe? Are they being maintained? I know it's probably embarrassing to pull up to the taco truck in an old truck and the ATT guys laugh, but not buying shiny new bucket trucks with the price of vehicles what it is might be one of the few good decisions the management team has made.

They only care about the stock holders and themselves, the employees are just minions for Hans.
