Someone wrote the other day that when you hire top management who doesn't understand the ground realities you should expect a total mess like this, and that they are doing a poor job cleaning it. It was on a thread about TPMs, but I think the same statement can apply to everything that Cap 1 is doing lately.

In this layoff mess Apple is the only company that has not announced any layoffs, they have put a hiring freeze and making some budget cuts, they have not laid off any employees, my respect for Apple has gone up 10 times. We should applaud such companies and penalize the companies that do layoffs, playing with employees emotions is not right. You spend days and multiple interviews to hire a person but do layoffs over zoom calls in 10 mins, not at all fair☹️
Yes, lot of ADLs are getting hired back in C1 in different roles, their teams have created recs and are hiring them back. The teams are realizing that they made a mistake, what a joke!!!!

Today on linkedin I saw a former agile lead get another tech job in capone. I think it's Stockholm Syndrome to want to go back and think all you went through was OK and that Al Capone was a nice guy and decent and just misunderstood. Why? You're going to get forced ranked again in 2 months. Why?!!
