Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Omaha?!

Why are there so many roles in Omaha all of a sudden?

I checked a few weeks ago, I didn’t see many and now it’s on par with BH openings

@3kwz+1lGye52k I live in Omaha and was one of those people recruited away from Fiserv. Fiserv is seen as the company to recruit from by just about every other company. This is such a load of bull, and I wonder how you can look at yourself in the mirror lying about this.

Next all of the jobs will be in the neighborhood in WI that is a ghetto and Fiserv is getting tax incentives to help “revitalize” the area and create (move) jobs to help “lift it up.”

The people who you haven't laid off yet say that they are the most engaged, so that they are not laid off too.

Reputation in Omaha has improved 1,000 percent since 2015. We are seen as a very good employer in the community these days. Our people tell us - most engaged location.

I guess that is where Warren Buffet lives. A ton of big time bankers flew in this weekend.

Reminds me of an old Republic Airlines commercial from the 80s.

Wilson, it's your boss. Get to Omaha!

But, it's my birthday.

Happy birthday. Get to Omaha!

Meanwhile we have clowns like RJ saying "we shut down a Lincoln building and now we don't have enough room! What a good problem to have ;-)" as Omaha takes all the open hire slots, further cementing Lincoln's doomed fate.

Fiserv/FDC is notorious in Omaha. Doubt many viable candidates will show interest. The unemployment rate in the metro is like 2%, we can choose better options.

What type of jobs? Omaha has several functions that I’m not sure exist in BH. Data center. Call center. IT. Network Communications.

They lost too many people in Omaha and Lincoln. Now the Nebraska tax credit is at risk.

BH and Nebraska are where incentives exist, makes sense.

I know my team had to open a role that was originally BH only up to omaha because we couldn't find anyone. So maybe the higher ups finally realized BH has no draw.
