Why are 90% of the workers in Berkeley Heights and 90% of the leadership in Chicago? We're constantly talking about costs and operational excellence yet the people running most of what is being worked are "remote" and an hour behind. Plus Fiserv is paying for them to fly out on a regular basis. We talk collaboration and communication but most of the leadership is in a completely different location. It makes no sense!

What’s even better is all support staff in NJ 3 hrs behind our west coast and more to HI and AK clients. You know because so many people are willing to work until 8:00 local time.
I heard risk is lead by super smart person who has 0 resources in chicago .. is that true ??
See the issue is BH can hire workers but not good leaders most of it decided to move out of NJ. Ones remaining you know what they are doing F,G*, new rescuer straight from india… you got the point. What choice company have think about it .. it’s deep..
Looks stupid, but I think thats true mostly for Risk and new recruits. Otherwise the workers are also in Chicago and Wilmington (near their leadership)
Oh interesting. That is around the same time they started developing the Boeing 737 MAX.
I know what a 'worker' is, and many many good ones at Fiserv but what is this "leadership" and "management" you speak of? None of that exists these days at Fiserv....
That's a business model started by Boeing in the early 2000's. If your manager is at other cities it lessens the opportunity to let personal feelings get in the way of tough decisions like layoffs. Many companies do this now.
Apparently, collaboration means taking your teams call from an office building. They don't actually do anything to help collaboration - and the only thing they measure is "butts in seats"
It's that way EVERYWHERE. That's what happens when you push remote work for a decade, closing small offices to save overhead, and then do an about face to an antiquated mode of leadership. My group has 7 people left, almost half have left for other employment, and we are spread out over several states. But most of us go into an office where nobody else we actually work with are located, for the sake of not being remote. It's one of the d-mbest models of management be ever seen. And that's saying something.

So basically BH is for works and other location is for leaders .. interesting model
