Company giving away service and equipment and cut throat prices, while trying to get customers to pay $30 to setup their new equipment that they have been educated on how to setup themelves for past 5 years.....Don't worry the new groundbreaking renamed same old sales process we use will save us

Buying activations will come back to bite at some point. AT&T just laid of a ton of employees because their financials have stunk. TMO makes very little actual profit. At some point analysts are going to stop looking at them like a growth company and the site drop. With most of the 5G investment behind us, VZ is actually in a good position to start paying down our debt next year or subsidize to keep up with our competitors. We don't have to do this forever, just long enough that the other guys blink.
And as for the ghost line comment, our " fix" for the low quarterly adds is to give away new tablets and watches for the last 5 months, which combined have less revenue than one phone line.
The point is there was a period of time where the service was provided for free and it was a priority to provide exceptional service. Then it became a priority to throw the phone in a bag and have the customer set it up themselves. Now it's a priority to charge the fee as much as we can. So the problem is these executive clowns can't figure out what their priorities are.
Maybe being a premium brand means you priotize exceptional service ALL THE TIME, not nickel and diming your customers or not clocking service time metrics like it's a McDonalds drive through?
Verizon went from being most desirable phone provided to trash in record time. Obamaphone levels of bad.
it's bringing in so much money. Hopefully they talk about it on the next results call and it helps pump the stock. Either Verizon needs to pump or tmobile needs to drop to verizon level. Sure tmo has been kicking our butts for some time but their numbers are fake. Tmo has so many ghost lines it's worse than when we were slanging HUMS that never got activated. My friend who has tmobile has 8/9 lines and only pays for 2 of them. They just give him free lines all the time.
No one said it isn't a money maker. That isn't the point which you clealry missed. Set up and Go is not going to fix the poor decisions made by the leadership of the company. Failed 5G rollout. Free phone give a ways for years now, and loyalty offer after loyalty offer along on top of other discounts for customers reducing their monthly service charges to less then what even employees pay for our service. Verizon use to be a prestigious company. Now we are bottom of the barrel.
Setup and go is a money maker whether you like it or not.
