Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Another merger?

Thoughts on us merging with either Truist or PNC and becoming a “too big to fail” bank?

Guessing if this UB doesn’t go well , there is no M&A happening for a while. No way they can take on Truist . They would need MUFG to back them because they are big enough. But that is a long shot.

Every picture on the company intranet hides the mayo. Especially the straight mayo.

Tokenism is also a facet of racism, I don’t think poster would disagree on that point. I’m another drop in the sea of mayo myself and parsed their comment just fine without becoming triggered. Based on your reaction, it’s easy to see how you’re being the problem here.

Sea of mayonnaise? Just adding some tokens doesn't make anything automatically better.

Based on your comment it's easy to see you are the problem.

Only thing this bank is worth is its customer book of business. Neither Truist, PNC or Regions want to destroy their efficiency ratio by acquiring a Bank that struggles to integrate a simple transaction like Union. And the USB leadership issues have nothing do what so ever with being woke, just look at the sea of mayonnaise headshots of the top of the house, no DEI whatsoever, just incompetent McKinsey cast aways.

Berkshire sold 35% of their USB holdings around 50$ in Q3 2022. USB is around 35$ right now. Of course more happened. Slick moves. Berkshire might be sitting back waiting for the bottom to buy back in and then take over. Then maybe split up USB to competitors for more profit and then just move on. The split up pieces become Union Bank to the new acquirers. The acquiring banks will already have their ESG and woke going on along with their experts. So maybe cuts accross the board to high grade levels and a minimum of employees kept.

Probably need to get that stock price up out of the $30s or Chesterfield Finance will start a hostile takeover attempt, Berkshire is long gone, leadership is grayed and surrounded by inexperienced low cost personnel, return to office is a mess, critical functions have been moved to Poland but the name is on a stadium.
