Working from the office will give you a more structured life. No more checking your mail at 7:15 am. Regular coffee breaks, and lunches. Do you forget lunches with your friends. Two and a half glorious hours away from the office! Btw make sure that you take enough sofa home to satisfy the kids…
Run up every expense you can! Photocopy everything. Use snail mail for inter office communication ( find a group of pen pals to send photocopies of you lunches)
All in all, if they want you in the office, make them pay!

They want people to quit to cut back on severance.
This is pure bullying to make us work from office. Does not look like hybrid is an option as per my manager. Work 5 days in person or quit is the message.
Is this an attempt to push us to quit so they don’t have to lay us off? You might think I’m being cynical but they have no need to do this, and don’t give a single tangible reason why it’s necessary in the email.

The emails are going out in waves... my team has gotten them hours apart. Should be interesting at how they will justify and enforce since some teams are spread out across the states and globes. Force people to go into an office to zoom... stupid.
Call your boss or on next 1:1, just complain. Tell it, you will have to leave now, since the HR policy is not for you. If you are any good at anything, your boss wiill be like wait don’t do anything, let me investigate…
