So far I have been ok, staff wise. Very few hours given, like all of us, but I still have my asm, so we manage to have our vacations. My asm just gave notice, not surprised, so wondering how all of you are taking vacation, sick, etc time? From what it sounds like I am not going to be able to fill that position so I'm even wondering how to take lunch breaks. This gotta be something illegal about all of this.

In the past if I left vacation hours on the table, fine. Mow sc--w that I'm taking as much as I can. Too bad I couldn't take vacation for Christmas because the Na-i I work for is too much by the book of vacation blackout and didn't care that I wouldn't be able to spend new years with my family.
if you do hire them-can't promise a full time job to the applicant and look them in the eye.
The Ivory Tower's expectation is for you to be as big a weasel as they are.
reply to @peh+1lCkefjS nobody said I "can't" fill an open position, but...really difficult to find staff to work for the pay we offer, I continue to read there is a hiring freeze, there are no hours to give staff if you do hire them-can't promise a full time job to the applicant and look them in the eye.
fiscal year is july 1- june 30 so lots of time to watch those hours go to waste
April 1st, New Fiscal Year right? Would be surprised if that date passes without major changes. Investors need to be made whole!
You have until the end of the fiscal year to use up your vacation. If you have vacation to take, take it. It's your regional manager's job to help in the store when there are no other options... talk to your RM.
Who told you that you canMt fill that position?
