Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Why are there so many metrics?

I'm fairly new to retail but I'm a little confused as to the multitude of metrics that we have to hit, why? Is this normal in the industry and I'm just d-mb?

These metrics are very important to the future of the company so please work hard to achieve them.

11 metrics. There will be a flavor of the month, currently that is set up and go. Slack shout outs are currently consisting of an upgrade, probably no accessories or vmp, but set up and go, everything else is forgiven.

Yup. You can hit your quota every month but if you miss a metric youre bad at your job and need to be micromanaged to death.

It’s normal . The sad part is back then you would actually get paid very well if you hit some metrics. Now it’s just to make the company get paid.

No this place is a clown show. The CEO is a zombie certain to be fired. All those metrics are the micromanagement death rattle of a failed leadership team.
