Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

UnionBank Employees- Leave Now

If you really want to manage your careers , read the tea leaves. As conversion is coming up on folks so are the layoffs. USB only needed folks to get them through conversion because their folks have no clue of what they are doing. . Even now things are a cr-p show within the business lines.
UB- know that you will be laid off because USB cannot be bothered with filtering out their poor performers and adding UB high performers. Everyone was lied to by folks who have no clue.

To the person who said USB has so much experience with M&A . Yeah merging failed FDIC banks. Small banks that failed . Not large complex banks.

To those who say USB have strong business portfolio, what do that have to do with layoff??? We are not saying USB will collapse. The fact that many former UB people have been given no work since day 1 is as clear a hand writing on the wall as it can be. There is clearly no plan to integrate UB people into USB.

Very wrong. Totally wrong. USB had TARP money and plenty of it, to the tune of $6.6 billion in TARP loans and the federal government had a 10 year warrant to purchase common stock if they so desired as a part of the original government bailout. The TARP loans were repaid and the warrant was repurchased by U.S. Bancorp in June 2009, but to think that USB did not need and did not accept TARP bailout money is downright laughable. Most banks repaid their loans in the summer of 2009 to get the government out of the boardroom and the operation of the company.

Stopped this nonsense. USB is highly competent when it comes to M&A. USB have had many successes acquiring/merging banks since the early 90s after the 2008 financial meltdown. As a matter of fact, USB is one of those banks that did not need the TARP bailout.
