With layoffs happening since Wednesday, a lot of my colleagues were laid off, all have been with the firm less than 5 years. All the ones they kept have been with the company for 10 years plus… Also, I received an email to return my laptop because of Term employee but I’m on leave right now. Has anyone else got their walking papers as they are on leave?

Lots of us laid of in CIB - Merchant Services Feb 8. Headcount reduction - though in the past year we hired a lot of newbies. My team for example, just hired two freshers and let two of with good amount of experience go. Have to keep the average age and salary down though nobody will of course say that. Don't know totals but the target I had heard was 10% - that included a lot of subcontractors let go earlier.
Whomever is getting paid more is being let go
Good to know. I asked my “new” SLM and he said he’s not sure how I got that information even though HR told me and the emails removing access to Loan Application and other apps. This really b-ms me out but unfortunately it’s a part of this business.
Yes prior LM let go after returning from LOA. The first day back to work they will let you go if you were on the list.

Sean G is the head of all Lending and Tricia is second in command. They’re located in Jax. I’m located in CA. It’s been crazy and I feel bad for others who had less and were here for a short while.
Really?! It’s really backwards because one of my colleagues who openly admitted that he’s not sure how he made the cut and he left the first only to come back two years later. A 130M funder that was hired from BOA a month ago was let go. Ruthless!
They laid off people in the same city that have been with the company for 8 years and kept someone that just got out of training and has been here for 2 weeks, typical di----t Tricia and Sean G mentality, clueless!
