Thread regarding JPMorgan Chase & Co. layoffs

If you are in Tech and you received a poor performance review or even one “N” then you better have your resume and LinkedIn profile updated.

I work in HR at JPMC. Layoffs are in progress and there will be more layoffs.

We are aware that it will be the normal RIF numbers as most years.

If you are in Tech and you received a poor performance review or even one “N” then you better have your resume and LinkedIn profile updated.

The net numbers in Tech won’t decrease as you will be replaced by perceived high performers from refugees of the mass Tech layoffs gong on now.

It doesn't matter what your performance is. It is a big numbers game. Age and salary are the main determining factors. If you have been resisting return to office, that is a big consideration this time too.

There were a few people left yesterday. I'm not sure about the refugee part, Google, Meta or Microsoft paid much higher, the good ones may not want to join JPMC, the bad ones? Why bother.

I’m CIB Tech and had an OOS review, didn’t matter.

Was at top of my salary cap so easy trim I guess. Was handled well unlike Google mess.

Are layoffs done for a while? Or are more coming? My manager didn’t even know about them.
