Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

I left the company and my boss hits me up for assistance regularly

The remaining talent sucks.

Note: I am compensated per occurrence

Minimum charge should be similar to what most specialized consultants would charge: $750/hr , 4 hr minimum. No Purchase Order Number, no work.

Let's see how much it's really worth to them. If they pay, then up the price come the next go-round.

That’s crazy. I sure wouldn’t help, pay or no pay.

This is great for Fiserv. Fiserv gets to save money by not having to pay your salary, and Fiserv gets the benefits of your labor. There is no downside for Fiserv as long as you keep answering the questions.

At Aon, the entire IT department was outsourced in late 2005. The day after our last day on-site, I was back in the building as an independent consulting making good money supporting executive systems. Best revenge ever. Kudos for your efforts.

Curious, what are you paid per occurrence? A minimum per call and then hourly? Similar situation here, but I just get thanks.
