Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

I'd rather stay

Verizon has many issues, but I believe that most employees would rather leave voluntarily when they find a better opportunity than be laid off. Just my guess. However, is there any way to reduce the likelihood of being placed on the layoff list? Does someone's hard work mean anything anymore?

if the company wants to get rid of alot of the union workers, just offer a 6+6 like the company did in 1996- 1998 and you will see how many leave.

No, hard work and dedication does not matter to Verizon. Needs of the business is what matters most. The company cuts employees based on geography, tenure, pay scale, etc. It’s all done with a spreadsheet by a third party. You are an accounting number, that is all

Us techs are on the job showing professionalism’s. While the reps cry when anything gets mentioned about RTO. Get back to the office show the company you’re here to make Verizon money. Instead of sitting in your pjs all day like a robot. RTO and get thing back to pre- pandemic levels, then change things around to make this company shine again.

Leave voluntarily with nothing or rif'd and get severance. Tough choice but I'll take rif.

Hard work does not mean anything if no one knows that you exist. Those that manage up are the ones that remain the favorites.
