Is anyone in my age bracket actually finding work after being let go?

@OP Take care of your customers and you will find a nice landing spot… had several of my foodservice key accounts offering me at age 58. Suddenly I enjoy working again !
@dp actually found it easier- AI helped me write my resume and then the helped make it more compatible for the posting and the made it more compatible for the company’s AI screening. Got and interview request 4 days after submitting. Worked out nicely because o got a package from pepsico. As soon as Pepsi informed me, I started looking elsewhere. Getting paid more at the new place too. If you can cash out here at Pepsi, highly recommend it.
It’s rough now cause of AI filtering of resumes.
Feds and states cutting non food products you offer from food stamps. Good luck getting too many rich folks paying
Are there stories of people leaving and their lives became horrible? I only hear how much greener the grass is.
Yes- hold out for a package if you are eligible. I got a much better job externally 30% increase in base pay, better title and less bureaucracy. Grass is greener but you do have to put in the effort on constantly looking, reaching out to friends, networking and putting g yourself out there. Start while you are employed.
Networking was never my thing but once you get over that fear, it’s easy.
Yes.
I know a number of people who left and ended up in the following spots:
Celsius
Kellnova
Dr Pepper supporting PBUS
Competitor beverage company
Independent Bottler
Hersheys
Proctor and Gamble
My plan is to start a passion project with what I have learned over my career.
