The FIS building/campus in St Petersburg will be put up for sale in August. No other details or word about the staff. Just that announcement. So much for the Return to Office initiative.

RTO was 3 days on this campus. Our team was going, most was not. The location had card production center and FOS printing statements, letters, etc. Card production is being redirected to Romeoville and San Antonio, and FOS to the newly acquired large TSYS facility in Georgia. They are adding about 100 jobs there. The office has not been listed as a strategic office for years, so with card production and FOS moving no reason to keep it open. I’m assuming they have a buyer since it’s going up so quickly. We were advised that we will now all be considered virtual employees.
@d8 it's such a big company, it is confusing to see all of the different components discussed. What does legacy certegy encompass?
It's pretty obvious. They're going to sell off the legacy certegy business.
Yes, thank you.
So they're having to shed real estate now to create revenue?
anyone heard of rto for the Atlanta officers
Wow - had heard rumors of this a while back but thought it was an abandoned idea. I thought lots happened at that office. Can anyone from that campus comment on what things have been like lately? How does the local reaction seem?
Maybe they can use the proceeds to actually give us a COST OF LIVING raise. This economy is KI-LING some of us.
@am In practice, it has nothing to do with your proximity to the office. Attendance never really improved after the 3rd or 4th time “leadership” put its foot down…and they “really, really meant it” that time.
@ah clearly it depends on your proximity to an FIS office. There was no mention of RTO in the announcement, just the news about the planned sale of the campus in St Pete.
I recently left FIS on my own terms. When I left, the 'vision' was 3 days a week in office. Almost no one complied. It really came down to your individual manager and if they wanted to be in the office or not.
What is the new RTO initiative? Still 3? 5 days?
