Keep An Eye On ANI Headcount

2019 - 2600 people
2025 - 1700
2026 - 1600

Not heard directly but have heard from several that there's a mandate to be 1000-1200 by 2030 (apparently from John Healy himself).

They're hiring but not as much as getting rid of people. And the majority they're hiring, DPMs, feels like bubble that will burst same as several other roles over years.

Just advice. That and ignore the guy who says hot fish curry on here, would be my tips.

People shouldn't be under the impression that this is just an ANI thing. All big firms are down sizing their IT operations and flattening their orgs. The goal is to have less people using more AI in combination with more people in cheaper locations. Our local managing director is just the pawn doing the bidding of executive management.

If you are middle management, if you are not producing tangible output, if what you are doing can be replaced by AI, if you are doing legacy work, you are in the firing line. The only people who are safe people who ship high numbers of deliverables. That's Devs, ops people, PM's with deep irreplaceable business knowledge combined with a few senior leaders who can draw the whip and get results from people.

The days of people in soft non jobs is coming to an end. AI leaves nowhere to hide.
