Thread regarding Freddie Mac layoffs

Is 5 days a week in office still mandatory?

Across the company? How are you guys managing?

@3bk This is called "coffee badging" and it is allowed for those who are smart enough to do it. You are correct. Our sh*t does not stink and we wish you would stop stinking up the breakrooms.

There are many folks in IT that are coded fully remote. Not sure why their sh-t doesn’t stink and how they get away with it. Also some folks in IT come to the office at 10 and leave at 2 to avoid traffic, they must be special as well.

Yes, and it’s caused a massive brain drain. Talent continues to leave, and top applicants turn down out offers because the commute, including rising gas prices, just isn’t worth it.

The only guy that I can say that I've seen come in 5 days a week is the one that sits somewhere behind me that claims he needs to keep an eye on me for the spaceship. The other people I either don't see every day, or they'll work from home for Summer Friday.
