Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

Layoffs in BOET?

More and more chatter that there will be layoffs in the BOET org. Several executives have already been reassigned to other organizations, and that is usually a tell tale sign that there are big reorgs and reductions on its way.

Also, a flurry of "secret" off-site meetings.

Anyone with more insight?

One MD is already gone. The other one is the chopping block. Replacement is looked for externally. Just a matter of how much the "old guard" will be able to destroy, before they are kicked out for good.

It is sad to see how the STS leadership destroyed a cadre of good Project/Program Managers.

The plan is to be "Project Manager free" by early 2027.

There will be a choice of becoming an RTE, BA, PO, or leave Schwab.

Worst leadership in EDE under BOET. If layoffs occur that MD should be let go. Micromanaging, incompetent and driving the entire organization nuts.

Kids. When naming your department, perhaps, just perhaps, don’t go for an 80s movie alien who stinks.

It’s more that they want to not have a “program mgmt” group that is visible as leadership is cutting those more and more. D-mb. It seems like BOET will stay as it is for a while at least…
