Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

No job safety anymore

Those who keep asking when we can expect new RIFs should know that the odds are that RIFs will continue until morale improves. Therefore, it is always possible to expect cuts, which means that you should always be prepared.

Those who cannot cope with such stress and uncertainty should especially look for better opportunities elsewhere. This is no longer the company it used to be.

When the economy dips, more financial institutions will out-source their technical operations to companies like Fiserv, Fidelity, etc. I worked for Fiserv for over 20 years and experienced this growth in business during recessions. “WORKED” - I’ve moved on to much greener pastures… there are good technical jobs out there to be had if you are a competent technician….Although it was a very scary process, I moved on from the 2+ year nightmare on my terms, loving life again, and really feel appreciated by my new employer that truly lives by the “People Make a Difference” motto. Good Luck guys! I really feel for all of you… You are the only thing I miss about Fiserv… top notch techs that are second to none!

How is posting about other cr-p companies & their cr---y CEO's have anything to do with Fiserv? Once again, apparently Fiserv is going for "we suck less"

Come on then, spout your usual sht that fits your anti-Frank narrative, @2gbh+1kvalPN6.

So let's get this straight... Frank is doing great because he laid off so many people but then turned around and hired thousands? Hmmm. Not sure how to follow that logic.

Oh wait! There is NO LOGIC in it.

Nice strawman. Did we over-hire too?

The mental gymnastics you corporate nuthuggers will go through to defend an incompetent CEO are wildly entertaining.

Another one... "We hired too many people" is the tagline from their CEO.

So, layoff.com people, what you got to say about that? Still think Frank is the Devil?

"Job safety"? Unless you work in the IRS or you own a funeral parlor, there's no such thing.

Sorry to explain a joke but it's an old one that might not be familiar to those who haven't seen taglines in BBS mail from the late 1980s: "the beatings will continue until morale improves"

@qzf+1kvalPN6. Fiserv began the layoffs in early 2020, long before there was any thought of a recession. How many layoffs have occurred at Jack Henry?

Good thing that Fiserv's customers are banks. That recurring revenue will protect Fiserv from recessions.

No wait. Fiserv has been laying off the people who bring in that revenue.

Nevermind.

As you read article after article you will read about a recession and cost redution actions being taken as consumers stop spending. This is the cycle we are stuck with for a while. Hardly a Fiserv thing...in fact thank goodness Fiserv took its medicine early. Wouldn't want to be at Fis right now that is for sure!

Morale will never improve, so the RIFs will never end.

What do you mean by "until morale improves?" Morale won't improve with all the RIFs. Did you mean something else?
