Honeywell's Rank - WSJ - The 2026 Best Companies for the Future

The Wall Street Journal evaluates how leading US corps stack up in 6 areas: AI readiness, innovation, talent readiness, financial fitness, resilience and agility.

Honeywell ranks #46 overall with an Overall Score of 62.5, placing it 2nd out of 55 companies in Capital Goods. Its strengths are broad: Talent Readiness Rank #27, Innovation #39, Financial Fitness #102, and AI #103. That is a very strong showing for an industrial company.

The main weakness is Agility Rank #300, with Resilience only #166. The data suggests Honeywell is a high-quality industrial technology company with strong human capital and innovation signals, but not a particularly fast-moving organization. Strategically, Honeywell looks like one of the few old-economy industrials with credible future-readiness, although its scale and complexity still show up in agility.

SPS / IA perspective for 10+ years - this company has no idea how to innovate and is a bloated bureaucratic train wreck. Acquire successful companies and ride their IP while cheapening their product, su-k the value out of the business, discard, repeat. Honeywell is a parasite fueled in equal measure by greed and incompetent management lining its pockets.
