Is there a particular day of the week when layoffs occur? I heard they typically occur on a Thursday, but that could be wrong. I think something's brewing in my part of the company.

I was RIFed on a Friday at 11:00 along with a dozen of my team members.
June 25th, just in time for my familiy vacation.
Yes the large ones have all been last Thursday of the month but have seen some smaller ones earlier in the week. Companies in general don't like to do layoffs on Fridays or Mondays.

The pattern for the broad org shift/rif's has been the last Thurs of each month since last November. But there's been other "adjustments" nearly every week anyways so ...
