Thread regarding Optum layoffs

What's health plans like?

I'm considering taking a job working with Rx health plan clients. Is this a good department to work in? Any information is greatly appreciated because I don't want to leave my job for a worse opportunity.

If you need a job, than take it. Get some experience, if something better comes along or you find yourself depressed, upset and hating it, move on.

Bad insurance, all plans are high deductible except for surest, but surest is very limiting. 401K match was recently either lessened or eliminated. If you need a job asap, take the job and keep looking elsewhere. Don’t settle here!

It is a terrible company. Raises are much lower than you'd expect. If your long term goals are advancement, Optum is not the place. The company to tends to value tenure over actual experience and knowledge. They would let a 10 year old perform highly skilled work if they have been with the company 10 years.

Many people started at the company already in a place of privilege, but will act like you don't deserve to breath the same oxygen at work even if you come with a lot of experience and are from diverse background.
