Happy New Year

May this be the year those of us in difficult employment areas make our escape.

Please leave. We aren’t paying out severance and you will make our decision much simpler. We want managers who want to work - not those who complain at every change or every new decision. Ungrateful peasants

I left last year. Best decision mentally and financially. Many jobs await without the BS.

The places around my area that are hiring are all medical based... You even need a medical billing certification. I know it pays a lot but you have to spend money to get the certification which quite a few of us just don't have. If they fire us then we can take advantage of programs that offer low cost training in another field through the department of employment security. Everybody knows, Follett doesn't fire people. They make you so miserable that you quit and then they don't have to pay unemployment.

Some of us are trying to leave, but we live in tough places for employment

This has been going on for the last 10 years. Set sales goals, miss sales goals, cut internal costs, announce the acquisition of some new university, new university never monetizes according to plan, rearrange deck chairs, prepare to repeat next semester.

The fact they are communicating cash flow problems to store levels and the Access accounts all being charged before end of December to have sales captured in that quarter are a sign of how bad it is. This current quarter is going to be horrible for the books now and the last quarter of the year. If you are still with Follett. Good luck

Agreed. Those that actually did work are leaving or pushed out. Curious to see how all the voids will be filled and these folks wore many hats. Never mind, it will get pushed to the store teams like everything else. With the most recent departure, I think that they finally flushed out the last of the Follett family. Things must be worse than we think.

Seems like quite a few from OTC have made the break. Think we should be following suit now. This is only gonna get worse
