On Monday, June 1st, Copilot moves to token-based billing with major adjustments to token-cost multipliers. Some models will cost 60x more per token than others. Most of what users would call the "useful" models will become exceedingly expensive in comparison to the others.

I’ve been using Copilot to meal plan, pick games to bet on, help me analyze stocks. As far as work, I just click “summarize” on most emails so it looks like I occasionally use it for work.
Or we get put on individual budget caps and the people who have been letting it rip on agent mode get rate limited in the first couple days of the month.
I got an email that they were going to remove my copilot for non usage, I deleted it like I didn’t see it lol
If one rewards token maxxing, one will get token maxxing. I anticipate a quick shift from the AI tracking max usage sooner than later.
I use AI quite a bit with some hobbies. I can say I have caught it many times being LAZY, not fully analyzing and actually making stuff up themselves. Just like a bad employee. I have it on a PIP now.

This is really for developers. It won't have any impact on the average free plan user. At least not yet.
