Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

The State of Verizon

If you take a close look at Verizon right now, you will see a company that is on the same path as Ericsson. A company that doesn't give a darn about their employees needs and a company that just wants to get as much out of their employees as they currently can. Could it be because of recession 2023, could it be they hired Hans to do the same job here that he did at Ericsson? Why else hire someone that has bankrupted a company? Why else would Verizon go from being the best to possibly one of the worst companies on the market. Even AT&T shares have gone further than Verizon. There is a reason for that. Verizon is slowly sucking itself dry. Ever hear about a company getting so big that it cannibalizes itself? Give me some thought's/comments/opinions on your view's and try to change mine. For the love of the investor...please...

Our customer service is embarrassing and a joke. No one listens to my complaints about how terrible they are, feedback form continue to be filled out. Half the time I can’t understand what they’re saying because English is not their first language so I could just imagine being a consumer how frustrating it is. Plus the training these people receive is terrible. Who tf is training these people because they literally have no idea what they’re talking about half the time and I have to tell them how to do their own job.

Why do they talk about the kicker like they are blessing us with financial freedom. It's like bill gates guessing how much a box of cereal costs. $200 after tax barely gives you a tank of gas.

I can’t afford groceries and make just enough to pay for real estate tax on a average home

The leadership of Verizon has failed on so many levels over the past few years. Employees are paid so low they are living payday to payday on crumbs. They refuse to pay us a decent wage and dangle the whole commission statement as if they are willing to allow us to make over 800 take home. Most of our bills have gone up buy our paychecks and commission have gone down. It's sad to admit but they don't care about the workers anymore.
They don't care about company growth. How many more bad investments are they gonna come up with? They spend money on useless programs and they have outsourced all our IT and customer care departments. They threw away money to invest in failing mergers and sold them at a fraction of what they purchased them cause a huge loss of revenue.
Hans is a huge failure and has concocted a toxic work atmosphere and has taken what's best of our company and turned it into a pile of dogshit. News papers are writing articles about how Verizon is failing and its a huge embarrassment.
We corporate sales people have been reduced to clerks. We were originally trained in the art of sales and excellence. With the team commission we are now glorified clerks who are no set up for failure...case in point the biometrics set make an average rep afraid to sell to specific customers who may not have the need to vhdp or might not want home internet from verizon. If a customer has no protection we turn a sale down and now the upcoming time extention on each customer interaction thanks to view together makes our metrics worse and quota unobtainable (for a whole 200 before 38 percent tax).
They need to quit penny pinching to pay suite C and start investing in the employees and customers or we will soon be reduced to the standards of Cricket.

"The network America trusts... except we outsource everything outside of the United States." - Verizon's new motto

Looks like two bot replies in this thread, but I'll bite. A company is not a living thing that only cares about profit. It's made up of humans at the top of the "leadership" team that have their own goals. In Verizon's case, it's ran by a bunch of people who don't care about their employees, but expect them to care about their company profits obsession. Hans can't get his profits, because he and his team don't care about their employees.

Did you get that out of a book describing capatalism because it sounds like every company out there if you aren’t on the koolaid.

When you care about your employees then the employees care about the company. This means they care about the success, customers, profitability and keeping their job. Without your employees caring you have nothing. This is our current reality. We have a short sighted no brains view and we have executed it to a tee.

Wake up and smell the coffee!. Every company out there only cares about making a profit, doing more with fewer resources, and keeping investors happy
