Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Prospective Hires, Resolve to Avoid Oracle

Hello job seeker! Looking for a new opportunity? On the layoff page looking to understand the risks of joining Oracle? Navigated to this thread? You’re at the right place, because if you have other offers, take those. If Oracle is the one job you have… keep looking. Here’s why:

  • Executive communication is horrible. Outside of holidays, earnings, and 9/11 commemoration, you’ll hear nothing. The leadership has yet to say anything about the layoffs over the past 6 months.
  • Marketing is a Potemkin Village. Our products work but are hardly the Gartner leaders you read about. Our customers are itching to get out but suffer from deep vendor lock-in. JM is a revenue manager, not a marketer, and installed because he’s from NetSuite.
  • Ethics are not a priority at this company. Read other threads about SEC violations and you shall learn.
  • Middle Management is notoriously corrupt. Maybe you get a great manager, but often times you will get one who is happy to throw you under the bus for their own gain.
  • OCI is not the star you think it is. Ever heard of influencer marketing? Yes, LJE pays people off and it’s easy to claim growth when you go from 2 to 4 versus 15 to 30.
  • We’re a healthcare company now and even can’t get that right. We paid $28 billion big ones for

Original inventors and abused employees terminated that had work stolen by managers for self gain, suffered greatly

Only the lowest of the lowest sc-m would take work and use it for promotion.
It’s a heinous crime and hope that at least one will get the sentence he deserves.
Feds are known for looking to make examples out of predators. It helps others clean up their acts. Only a small % get caught so they get bonuses and raises for
Bringing in a good case such as this one.

The spouses and children of those corrupt mid managers have been living inside of a nightmare without knowing it.

I'm sure the fat paychecks and bonuses were terrifying.

Entire families have been hurt.

Yes this is true but not in the way it was meant. The spouses and children of those corrupt mid managers have been living inside of a nightmare without knowing it. It’s a truly terrifying thought.

@4vos+1ksDGMMa Most of the other companies hired too many people during the pandemic.

Oracle spent 28B on Cerner. OCI is a Potemkin Village. Customers are locked in and unable to go to competitors.

It's a confluence of bad business decisions that is coming home to roost soon.

Oracle might be able to hire some of the 8000 that Salesforce is laying off.

I was working in OCI and one of the most toxic person was my mentor. I had to start taking therapy and I can say I wasted my precious two years here. Although I learnt a lot but my mental health was sh-t. when I had a last call with my manager and I was resigning, I felt free that day. I am sure this was the problem with my team only and the toxic person left my team before me to be a director in oracle, but the damage was already done. I regret not taking up all the issues to HR now but I was afraid since I was on visa, it might create problems for me. Now I am at a better place, already started healing.

It's a sad story, really. Definitey,mind-blowing.
Don't think it will be going away any time, soon.
People have been used and abused. Entire families have been hurt.
Oracle has been taken advantage of and the main character will be famous.
A good investigative journalist uncovering this dirty scheme against Oracle could be huge.

Hopefully reporting is underway. The patent(s) definitley check out that, was easy to follow and find. I guess, an investigation will determine the rest.

It is definitely a story of interest.
Could be a box office blockbuster. A huge money maker.
Using VP as pawn just as he has used others.
The Oracle story could be told in this story with Oracle as hero.
Stock price would go out of the roof.

Timing is good.... the public needs a good truth and justice prevails story.

Honestly, the story becomes old. If anyone has any evidences on VP stealing patents, abusing expenses or committing any frauds, there are SEC and Whistleblower contacts and processes in place, just go ahead and report it, instead of just BS here

2023 is going to be interesting

✔️ Cerner under congressional investigation
✔️ VA ???
✔️ Middle-management mgr has 4 patents in the same year he was promoted to VP, doesn’t have the same skill set.
✔️ same VP will travel and entertainment expense for side huddle on Oracle’s time & dime?
✔️ same VP Firing higher paid employees & hiring fewer and cheaper replacements so he milk budget personally.
Such an incredible legacy
