Especially if you're younger and recently joined Elevance. Save up six months of expenses. Keep interviewing even though you're employed. Find a way to make money on the side. Don't let this place have all the power over your life.

I think this really only applies if you are working for another company or person and getting a paycheck. If you are making money by selling on Ebay for example, I don't think it would an issue.
To work an additional job, it requires approval a level above your current resource manager. That is what I was told. So, if you are gigging on the side to make ends meet, don't say anything about it if you don't want to be fired. They won't provide a raise to keep up with inflation but then attempt to block you from making extra income to pay bills. Where will the abuse stop with these corporations????
You can say that about any job and any company now.
