@ax So basically what I'm saying is that working at IBM is a kind of dream job. Their slogan is "think" but it might as well be "sh-t". Because that's basically what I do. I Shit40 and get paid for it.
It is never voluntary when the “enhanced” severance package offered comes with the condition “take it or get the statutory minimum” because the decision to move your European-based job to a cheaper country is already final. The European layoffs are true.
Just do what I do: Check in, pretend to work, and check out. Whatever I'm asked to do, I run it through AI and do a quick edit. My id--t boss thinks I'm a genius. I'll probably be the last one to get RAed. What a stupid company.
The terms of that buyout were ridiculous and stupid. Many are waiting for a better deal.
