As an AT&T stockholder and employee I propose the following questions to be put up for vote at the next stockholders meeting:
- Should the company use a neutral 3rd party to do a cost analysis evaluation on the Board of Directors to be outsourced overseas or locally?
Yes or No?
- Should the company use a neutral 3rd party to do a cost analysis evaluation on the C-Suite executive positions from VP (all 4 levels) to the CEO?
Yes or No?
There are enough active and former AT&T employees to make this happen. This also needs to be reported beforehand to the press for a bigger impact to shake the elite country club and jet setter groups.
The massive failures of the SBC dictator, top down management style needs to be challenged. The CEO’s decisions now are only rubber stamped and he is surrounded by an echo chamber. Not many years ago, leadership positions and salary were based on performance, competency and execution. If any were lacking it resulted in job loss or early retirement. Nepotism and favorite employees still existed but most had to be competent and perform to be fast tracked, their pay was based on merit. Executive packages were within reason and not the contractual exorbitant perk laden packages that are given out every year now, despite the actual results. What a concept! The idea that companies need to pay executives massive packages to stay competitive is a house of cards that needs to be blown down.
Employees below the BOD and C-Suite are tired of paying for multiple poor decisions that lead to continuing layoffs, outsourced to the lowest bidder and benefit reductions all while the elite continue to enrich themselves. The end result is middle class extinction and third world status for the next generation. I say let’s put their jobs up for competition overseas so everyone is on a level playing field.
Just my 2 cents for the upcoming New Year.
