Do NFL teams keep players on the payroll way past they’re prime? No, teams buyout their contracts. That is what AT&T will do to offload the non productive, highly paid, CWA represented employees

OP that is the stupidest comparison I ever heard. they only get rid of people who have built up time and benefits because they cost the company money compared to new hires.
No offer since I took the 50g plus Sipp in 2020. Most who took it had more than 20 years with the phone company and met modified rule of 75 already. Looks like you’ll have to work for at least five more years sweating attics and going in pits and on the strand. Look out for poor contractor work when your up there. Thanks
SOOOooo-weeEEEEE! I be squealin’ like a sow boss! Ain’t never gonna be no offers. No way, no how!
The offer deniers are obviously just a bunch of sbc red-neck, douchebag hill billies who don’t know their azzes from their elbows. Now squeal, boy!
The 5-5-5 offer. Kicks in when ATT stocks hits $5 per share, $5 of dividends annually for 5 years. Mandatory for any CWA members with over 20 years convert their pension to this stock and special dividend.
Although I do not believe there will be any "enhanced" offers above and beyond the termination language in the contract, I do believe some of us will be celebrating retirement 3/15/23 with the two year pay package. And quite frankly, I will lmfao forever.
Although the white trash dirt bag thinks there will be some miraculous offer in March, there will not be any offers.

Can anyone imagine living in Texas and having to deal with these kind of sbc mo--ns every day?
Offer the C-suite and Board an ultimatum, go overseas to their new work location or early retirement because we can raise the stock price and dividend by outsourcing their jobs. It’s according to their business plan for all other positions within the company and their’s has the most impact to the bottom line.
Offering anything makes no sense when they can get rid of you anytime.
NFL players get endorsements too. Go AT&T.
Turn down the 5-5-5 offer. There is a 8-8-8 coming in April.
Man, I’m pondering all day what I’m gonna do with that money coming in March! Buy a new boat, head out to the Bahamas, Go on a fancy river boat down the Mississippi, go off-roading out in Utah. I can’t wait for that 5-5-5!!
Nnnnnoooooottttttt!!!!!
"they're"? hahahahaha
You sound jealous.
The Union they have to but out.
You can be gone right now with nothing.
So pathetic.
Not funny or clever to keep posting the same ridiculous falsehood over and over. Try harder.
first of all union employees are neither lazy nor overpaid. Obviously coming from a desk general
The guy that continues to propagate this rumor is hoping ATT executives will catch wind of this and go ahead and offer it to tenured union personnel. Guess what, Dude, they're quite aware of this type of offer and will never make it a reality cuz it no longer makes sense! But, go right ahead and dream and hope all you want! You're going to be the one that is disappointed in March!
There will be no such offer. Get over it already.
Five years added to your age and service plus $5k per year of service. The offer that is coming in March 2023.
I used to be able to dunk…buy out my contract! PLEASE!!!
You not the NFL.
I happen to think that a targeted enhanced offer makes sense. I don’t understand why everyone gets so crazy whenever it’s mentioned.
Even NBA teams who have guaranteed contracts buyout older, overpaid players. It does make sense that AT&T would do the same given the mess they’re in.
