Thread regarding NCR Corp. layoffs

Terribly understaffed

It is impossible for the management not to know this - they know very well that we are understaffed and that we are so overworked that most people can only think about leaving as a solution.
They know that almost all of us are on the verge of burnout, but they don't care and obviously don't intend to do anything about it any time soon?

Toast has won the battle whether Mike likes it or not. I know he has to appear to be upbeat so that moral doesn't go down. But Toast, clover, and others jumped on the cloud design before Silver even had a chance, and all NCR can do is recycle the Aloha brand. Hence, Aloha Cloud. I talk to former aloha customers and restaurant employees all the time, and they say the product was great and tech support was local and helped a lot. But then NCR bought it from Radiant, moved support to India, half of dev to India and Europe in order to save some money, and like always, reviews went down and the product dies. Radiant did the same to RPOS when it bought Ibertech to get Aloha. It happens every time a good product goes offshore, but companies don't care. Or maybe it was NCRs plan all along. The purchase of Radiant not for the code but for the aloha brand. Ibertech never should have sold out, and this is a good lesson in how conglomerates are evil and small businesses are the way to go. Anyone looking for a new job should find a small local business that cares about their product so much that local employees are happy enough to work on it. Ibertech loved their invention and worked hard on it, while NCR couldn't care less about it.

The ELT team here sucks big time! No wonder all the good folks in leadership are leaving or getting fired.

It’s a shame especially the point you made about PG leaving. AB saw the writing on the wall and moved on. Bad communication is a big issue here along with bad leadership especially at the top. 2023 will be different I am determined to move on. Cannot put up with another year like this one.

PG is gone and Deb "the wash woman" is back to carry on with all the planned layoffs for 2023.

I was let go, capable to work in the field, meanwhile the techs are working ridiculous hours and like you said in burn out I don’t care mode. They are preparing for the sale and will continue outsourcing every remote job to make the sale dollar wise more attractive, but when the outsourcing blows up, it will be a big mess.

They know but don't care. They're just banking their bonuses while the people that do the work will get crumbs. No matter how many places I see NCR publicize how they embrace "work life balance" the more I laugh about how it's BS. Face it, they don't care about you, your family or your well being. If you can afford to leave then LEAVE.

It is pretty telling about a culture, or Lack thereof, when the chief HR officer is leaving after referring to the CEO as difficult.
