So happened to get to see an email I wasn't supposed too. Severance packages coming for leadership in Claims. Auto and Fire! I did not get to read the whole thing but sounds like it will be targeted at the SM and TM level. CMs may be getting shown the door or demoted. Basically said with anticipated changes, they have too many leaders and want to trim the fat. Basically dump any tenured folks left. Dream come true for a lot of us, a nightmare for others. Missed the dates on when but sounded like sometime in September. Stay patient!

Ill be honest, AI could easily replace most FLLs. They dont know how to do the job we do, and serve as nothing more than baby sitters and metric hounds, oh and they get to ruin promotions for people they dont like. Other than that they really dont do anything of value
Yes, they are loading everyone up TMs and SMs trying to force people to quit. They want to continue to "pressure test" everyone and make it break. Also they are going to fire people in some areas and rehire their replacements in other areas. Shell game....banana in the tailpipe! They do not want to pay severance. Please understand this is all just a game to our Executives. Line their pockets! D-mbarsszz re-ards kids with a ant farm and you are the cr-p they clean out of the cage in the ant farm! They will tell you to not believe your lying eyes! We love our people and would never do anything like that ...wink wink! I love this place!
Our SM suddenly has twice the number of TM direct reports. Are SMs and TMs going be doubled up on direct reports so that there's less TM/SM roles overall?
P&C now has a group of sm's who's job is to figure out how to collapse areas into each other. Collapse is the new key word of the day. So it appears a downsizing of some sort is coming to claims. Hopefully exit offers. Check out Farney video on home page about the 3 year plan and to streamline the operation. Exit offers will likely come to every area at some point. Why not get higher salaries off the expense books.
@OP said they didn't get to read the whole email, not they didn't have time to read it. Learn how to read troll!
You couldn’t take time to read the full email but found time to post here? Interesting.
Company is shrinking, we are losing market share rapidly, customers are unhappy, workers facing them unhappy stressed and over worked. They want less people, less people means less managers. This way we can replace people with offshore work and AI, and deliver a cheap as possible, or minimally viable product, to our customer. This benefits no one but they want it.
There are other insurance companies looking to grow out there, capitalizing on our mistakes and weak, short sighted leadership.
Keep in mind a huge portion of our policyholders are super old and dying off. For every 80 year old with two homes 4 cars a boat and a PLUP we replace it with a younger kid with one car and an apartment too...so replacing isnt going well since people dont have lots of stuff to insure anymore.. I think this is why our executives seek to be a dirt cheap insurance company and not a quality insurance company...or even the "adult insurance company" we use to be.
Also, many people have seen the print outs of departments "over capacity" which means calls are not back to back with a massive queue waiting, departments with a little bit of downtime between calls.
If you actually work here, and you start to see a nice comfy downtime situation, your department is seen as having too many workers. Also brief amounts of downtime makes their workers happy, this is unacceptable. At least at call center level theyll just shuffle you to a new role thats a nightmare and into the meat grinder and hopefully out the company on your own type stuff.
I will say its been a wild ride watching first hand the dominant company in an industry purposely shoot itself in the foot, then cut their legs off at the knee and choose to be not dominant like state farm has. We just rolled over gave up immediately and chose to follow weaker companies and now are just that. We didnt even try to stay #1, like the second they saw the graph showing we lose #1 they just gave up and accepted its going to be a smaller, lower quality, insurance company.
this has been coming since the 2021 Korn Ferry visit and surveys. the zoo that was created from the big dog 2 delayed it.
fake news
You saw nothing and know nothing. Congratulations.
Yes you can tell something is in the air....will be interesting to see how it unfolds.
