This year kind of sucks with the way things have been. I wish Verizon would atleast give us that extra perk of closing by 4 Xmas eve. It feels like the company has taken every last ounce of fun out of the holidays and have completely forgotten that we all have family and plans for Xmas and Xmas eve.

Well it doesn't help that we stay busy on a lot of these days. Corporate greed is always in full effect. Like we are adding an hour to our Sundays coming up.. everyone hates working Sundays already and they add an hour, why? Because they simply do not care about us. And also, more than likely they will raise quotas, why? Because you are working an extra 4 to 5 hours a month! That is the way they think.
We are disposable. We can only help so many people per day no matter how long we are open. Extending hours during the holiday or regular days just give us a thin staff and makes customer angry because they have to wait. More hours doesn't mean more sales. Bah humbug you Corp Scruggs.
no idea why our stores are open. You best believe people that support the stores are off work or just jockeying slack all day. We are a utility, not target.
They went from we are changing hours to help employees spend more time with families, to saying "oh by the way we are taking your holidays away from you."
