Companies will be hard pressed to get rid of 20% of wmployees because Meta and Amazon claim to do it, and the CEOs dont want to look like slackers at the open bar at Davos.
First question. When does AI actually become useful? I mean meeting notes is nice but it’s not earth shattering.
Everyone is using Copilot now lol.
If we are using the internal AI governance approval process currently in place it won’t be much lol.
Looked at our CFO’s recent podcast. He talked about this year being a year of execution. Read that not that long ago we made a sizable contribution to the pension fund. If we see that happening again I believe it’s going to get really interesting.
A lot of companies are now forcing AI adoption and use. Take this 8 hour training course and run with it. Hopefully there are enough people around to check that work and decisions aren’t being made because Jimmy wrote a program that spits out data that looks good and what someone wants to hear.
90%. Grok will be the "all".
Most of people under estimate what AI can do. When ATT has solid AI solutions, many of us here will retire by then.
Are you familiar with the term cooked?

Why do you think T stock has gone up lately? Because AI is going to reduce fixed payroll costs.
AI does have problems especially for a company with so many older systems. However I would assume that some of those older systems will disappear as some of the older work disappears. Don’t know what and how many systems will disappear and not a system person but what happens when a lot of the CO's disappear? Legacy? Of course this company will do what they usually do. Come up with new technology, don’t meet timeframes and decide to expedite by building another layer on top of old stuff.
AI requires input to function and the output is often wrong, changes frequently, and loses context over time. Your job is safe.
AI does not work well with our underlying programs. They are too old.
@a2 Not so much. Ever try to have Copilot create a deck for you? Unimpressive generic garbage.
Anyone whose job is to crank out BS PowerPoint decks is pretty much toast.
