It will pause but not stop. Tweaks will continue as orgs/teams align to the new landscape. Larger ones pick up again next year as the Digital strategy and AI rollout continue to expand in these areas:

customer service automation
network optimization
fraud detection
sales personalization

Look for these types of roles to increase / hire in the coming year:

AI network engineers
data scientists
cybersecurity specialists
automation architects

Layoffs were a cover up to move jobs off shore but now companies are studying to rehire employees...

Too bad tmobile already effed up the culture beyond repair... Laying off all the talent will be your downfall because no smart person will want to work for this toxic company

At least with a union I get a vote and legal representation. Most states are RTW: you can opt out if you'd like.

@gy So what you're saying is that you're CWA and have nothing to offer other than paying your salary via member dues and spreading FUD. The unions have no skin in the business and only exist to extract money from working people.

So what you're saying is we need to Unionize. That way the company may be forced to retrain workers versus replace them with cheaper workers. That kind of practice should be illegal.

the AI calls for something special. If your name is michael..... you are special. If not micheal will burn you in the big big f ire. Micheal is the modern way....the old way is the phoenix. mikey will burn it down until the ashes can rebuild it again. It is the way of things.
